In February 2013, the City of Cleveland began its recycling program. Drop-off locations include 219 North Bayou Road across from Atmos Energy that is accessible 24-hours a day and 1098 Old Highway 61 North (public works south gate) that is accessible Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. except for holidays.
What We Can Recycle
Mixed Paper: Catalogs, Cereal Boxes, Copy Paper, Envelopes, Junk Mail, Magazines, Newspaper, Notebook Paper, Paper Towel and Toilet Paper Tubes, Paperback and Hardback Books, Paperboard Packages, Printer Paper, Shoe Boxes, Shredded Paper, Telephone Books, and Corrugated Cardboard.

Plastic Bottles: #1 PETE and #2 HDPE Plastics such as Clorox Bottles, Detergent Bottles, Plastic Milk Jugs, Plastic Soda Bottles, Plastic Water Bottles, Shampoo Bottles, and any other plastic that is designated with the recycling symbol "1" or "2" on the bottom of the plastic container.
Aluminum Cans: Aluminum soda or beer cans.
Steel Cans: Pet Food Cans, Soup Cans, Vegetable Cans, and other similar food cans.
Plastic Bags: Plastic Shopping Bags and Plastic Wrap.
Things We Can't Recyle
Paint, Oil, #3 through #7 Plastics, Chemicals, Glass, Wax Cartons such as milk or juice cartons, Paper Towels, Tissue, Any Medical Waste, Styrofoam, Bubble Wrap, Pie Tins, Aluminum Foil, Food Soiled Items, Ice Cream Cartons, and Pill Bottles.
