Animal Shelter
The Shelter is here to help the community manage animal welfare in Bolivar County and the sites that are included within those borders.

City Hall
City Hall serves as the hub of Cleveland’s government. Within City Hall can be found the Mayor’s Office, the City Clerk’s Office, and the Water Department.

Community Development
The Department of Community Development is responsible for construction permits, inspections, and for enforcing city ordinances and codes in relation to building construction, planning, zoning, signage, parking, design standards, and property maintenance.

Finance & Purchasing
The City Clerk’s office is responsible for the city budget, purchasing, tax collection, voter registration, and business licenses.

The Cleveland Fire Department has been proudly serving Cleveland, Mississippi since 1920.

Municipal Airport
The Cleveland Municipal Airport is a General Aviation Airport (GA) that is located two miles northwest of the City of Cleveland in Bolivar County and is home to the David Work Municipal Terminal Building, Delta State University Flight Operations, Air Repair Incorporated, and PlaneSmart Aircraft Services.

Parks & Recreation
The City of Cleveland maintains 9 parks with playground equipment located throughout the city.

Police Department
The Cleveland Police Department serves over 12,000 residents with an additional 4,000 students that attend Delta State University whose campus is located within our city limits.

Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for the daily operation of the city’s streets, right-of-ways, drainage, cemeteries, and maintenance shop.

Railroad Museum
The goal of the Railroad Heritage Museum is to preserve and promote the history and the culture of the railroad and its impact on the establishment, growth, and development of Cleveland, Bolivar County, and the Delta Region.

Waste Water Department
The Waste Water Department provides services to customers located within the city limits. This Department manages all aspects of the daily operations of waste water. Our goal is to be proactive in the treatment of wastewater, and protect both human health and the environment through the efficient, cost-effective collection and treatment of its wastewater, to stay within regulations; and promote economic development within the City of Cleveland.

Water Department
The Water Department assists citizens with obtaining water service. In addition, this department provides assistance with billing and maintenance concerns. The Water Department is located within City Hall.
