The Cleveland Tree Board was created according to the Tree City U.S.A. requirements. This board develops and administers an annual plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas. The Tree Board conducts Arbor Day activities each year and promotes the planting of trees.
The Tree Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the Cleveland/Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce. Those currently serving on the Tree Board are as follows:
