City Hall serves as the hub of Cleveland’s government.  Within City Hall can be found the Mayor’s Office, the Chief Administrative Officer’s (CAO) Office, the City Clerk’s Office, the Water Department, City Purchasing, and City Payroll.  The Board of Aldermen and other various Boards and Commissions meet here as well.

Office hours of City Hall are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The City of Cleveland operates under a Mayor and Board of Aldermen form of government.  The CAO supervises the day to day operations of the city and its staff.

City Clerk’s Office:  The City Clerk’s office is responsible for the city budget, purchasing, payroll, tax collection, voter registration, and business licenses.

Water Department:  The Water Department is responsible for reading water meters, issuing water bills and garbage bags, and receiving payments.  The daily operation of the city’s water and sewer system is performed by contract with Severn Trent Environmental Services (S.T.).  Problems with water leaks or sewer stoppages should be reported to S.T. at 662-843-0601.  The daily operation of the city’s solid waste (garbage) program is performed by contract with Resourceful Environmental Services (R.E.S.).  Problems with garbage pickup should be reported to R.E.S. at  662-843-0110.
